Emperor Haile Selassie broadcasts an impassioned plea to save Ethiopia from Italian conquest. He defends his country's cause, calls upon the world to stop the war and declares that Ethiopia is firmly for peace. The French are so anxious about the Germans, they're perfectly willing to give Italy anything it wants to keep Italy in an alliance against Germany.
