How to Tell a Story in English
The researchers used gestures to make it look like the subjects were running away from each other and then chasing them up a drain pipe. But when they asked people to repeat the story, more often than not their reaction was that they both went up the stairs. The gesture totally threw them off and made them misremember what it was they were told. They say there's such a thing as tactile lip reading.
