How to Use Subtitles to Help Your Students Understand

I don't really get the debates like some people say, should you put them on or switch them off? And for me, that's kind of irrelevant because they are a useful tool to help you. When I'm working with my students, I'm not like, just sit out and watch even other subtitles until you get it. What we're trying to figure out is how much can they understand without them? Then we're going in and we're figuring out, okay, so what did you miss? Which bits were difficult? Why were they difficult?
