Leaders with high cognitive ability are able to possess greater amounts of information and operate more successfully in complex environments. Low cognitive ability leaders tend to have a relatively narrow set of interests and knowledge domains, although they may have an in depth knowledge in a few areas. The accuracy of their predictions about others is directly proportional to the amount of information they have about others. Their concreteness filters out more aspects of the external environment structure, particularly when they're under stress.
