How to Build a Relationship With a Website

Solopreneurs are told they need to build relationships. How do you actually go about building a relationship? Is it just a case of doing one deal, one link exchange, one guest post and then trying to go again? Or is there something more to it than that? Well, I think it all starts with like the first deal. Any website that is decent is going to treat you with a lot of skepticism. And their default stance is to not trust you and think you're a bullshitter.
