Data privacy regulator has opened two inquiries into the chinese owned short video platform tick tok. Ireland is taking the lead here because, like most tech companies, they're based in dublin. But then you get hit with the hammer of the data privacy regulations there. And so this is about processing a personal data of users under the age of 18, and transfers by tik tok of personal data to china.
