If a tree spoke their true experience of existing through great sways of time, i think that would be really unfathomable. But also, there's a possibility the lion would get inducted into the language and would only be able to express certain things. Your thoughtsomeness. I do think that language enables consciousness, but i don't think it's necessarily required for it. It obviously depends on how you define consciousness
