The Limits of Reporting on the War on Terror in Afghanistan
I think Afghanistan is a very good example I mean there are examples all over the world but you know in covering the sort of post 9-11 world we really did see limitations on reporting. It's important as a reporter to not view our stories through a moral lens and so spending a lot more time in Afghanistan has helped me understand the more complex nature of the war there. You want to be in those gray areas helping people understand a much deeper level of Taliban versus government.
