The Edge Cases in the Lightning Network

I'm not technically confident enough to understand the edge cases like the one that Barack brought to the fore. It's interesting because there's like two depending on your bias, you can like take this situation two different ways. LND went down was because we had multiple implementations on chain, on the main consensus layer because they were using BTCD. Bitcoin still early freaks, we're still working out these kinks.
