Are You Smart as Are You Capable?

Having been an engineering manager, i can tell you, it's very difficult to adjust some one's personality. If no one on the team wants to work with you, then we're not going to have you on the team. I've interviewed people where they were clearly the smartest person in the room and everyone of the company agreed that this person was very brilliant. Not a single person raised their hand when asked who wanted them on their team. So having the smart, having the brilliance isn't enough. You have to be that culture fit.
