The plays were written between 1890 and 1945 by British and Irish magicians who are also playwrights. None of them yet has a complete plays edition, including T.S. Eliot and W.V. Eats. The occult revival in this time period was an alternative means of education for people not part of the university system. People like Charles Williams and William Butler Yeats were not Oxbridge educated.
