How edX Came to Be
In 2012 you co-founded edX with some other scientists from MIT and as we said, drew more than 100,000 students. So how did that come to be? Around 2008, many key technologies came together, cloud computing, social networking, video distribution at scale, mobile computing. And the confluence of this created a moment in time when many of us felt that we could take learning to the next level.
