When people think of a black hole as a solid object, clearly, it's not a region of space. So, the very first thing was we had to have this idea of general relativity. And her man is Einstein, and often it's wonderful to get drunk and watch them fight about who is better. Isaac Newton discovered the laws of optics, the laws of gravity, and... He also stabbed himself in the eye with a stick to test out the rods and cones.
