The Importance of Early Auto Transplants
There's been a little bit of discussion whether you really need to do an auto transplant from the get-go. I think that if your goal is to give patients the longest duration of first remission, there is no question that an early auto is the way to go. The PFS is 22 months longer in a randomized trial for patients who had an early auto compared to delayed auto. Even in the delayed group, 80% didn't get an auto. They haven't hit the point yet, where you really start to see survival separate.
