The Second Temple of Judah
The first time since the Jewish people under Joshua entered the land they're being led to Babylon in chains. The Jews now head into Babylon and any betting man would bet and wager that they're going to disappear from the annals of world history. But of course the Jews refuse to disappear and vanish, Babylon becomes a new hub of Jewish life but the Jews even in Babylon are always eyeing their return to Zion. A mere 70 years later, the Persian king Cyrus the Great declared that the Jews are entitled to return to Jerusalem. And under the leadership of Ezra and the Hemiope, the second temple is rebuilt, and to the second commonwealth, the second Jewish residents and civilization in Israel
