The Great Depression and the Price of Wheat

The Australian government used the country's wheat farming as an attempt to prevent financial disaster that was falling upon all of them. Government promised a price of four shillings per bushel for wheat. The idea was that the government could use wheat to offset the collapsing price of other goods. But after this deal had been promoted, the price of wheat started collapsing too.
