Is There a Moral Presence in the Story?

It's interesting to think of what Gordimer thinks of the Morgans. How much she wants us to approve or disapprove of the way they behave? Yeah. I do feel that there's a slight element of mocking going on here. But I don't think that approving or disapproving is it would be the political framework that she would have been operating under.
