Britain spends 50 billion pounds per year bringing fossil fuels to our country just to burn them. And if instead, we made our own energy here from the wind and the sun, we would at hundreds of thousands of long term, good jobs. We would also clean up the air and the icing on the cape, would fight the climat crisis. But what we would do is a disconnect ourselves from the fossil fuel markets, which are the peak of capitalism.
