Schools often find themselves running up against problems that they're unable to solve with these solutions. A school can provide a safe space for a kid, and can do wonderful things. But at the end of the day, there's also really important things about like how much food is in a kid's belly. The thing that you're responding to isn't that skills gap. It's the fact that your institution might die, and you need to do something to save it.

Paris Marx is joined by Dan Greene to discuss how the Clinton administration reframed poverty through the lens of the internet and how that transformed the missions of key institutions like libraries and schools.
