Using a Workflow Engine to Orchestrate the Central State?

So as a way to do that, like orchestra on, i guess the i'm trying to think of how myself as a front and developer might tie in to this. So iu'll be like the central brain, and it'll be calling out to all these different services. And it doesn't matter if it's a micro service, a mackerel service or a surplise function. It doesn't really care, as long as itw hands over part of that responsibility for organizing the central state to someone else. That is the kind of architecture they were talking about here.
