I'm Not an Academic, but I Want to Poke Holes In

i would class most of us as internet academics. technically, by the rules of academia, i'm not an academic because i have never published an academic article. I haven't published one. And so there is an ongoing conversation in communities. Yes, it's hidden behind pay walls, but we can get there. So i want to poke holes in that a little bit.
