Draker spent time with physicists and data scientists who are convinced that they can use the tools data science on these powerful, artificial intelligence algaritms to find deposits where traditional energy companies and traditional exploration geologists have failed. He went up in a helicopter with one of the geologists as he went to these spots, looked promising, and examined the rock. But it is the mix of this kind of very traditional geology and the tools that rely on enormous amounts of computing power and advanced data science.
