I was fascinated by why is it throughout the beginning of time, every time that somebody is outnumbered in a military context when you're literally going to die, the answer is always to actually physically destroy your escape route. And for me personally, it began with shame, right? Shame, shame weighs you down. Shame prevents you from being nimble. My shame was growing up in this dirty house, taking care of my mother, literally wanting to drive a car into a tree half the time of my early childhood. I couldn't become a better leader until I shed that shame. So the boat is a broader narrative framework for this idea of things that hold us back.
