"It's crazy, especially on the way to sturges. I see shit that I take the backgrounds and it blows my mind," he says. "My grandpa came from Utah and from kind of a Jack Mormon family and moved to Long Beach." His mom used to sell box lunches out to an offshoreman in World War II. He was raised by his grandmother who wasn't a member of the church.
