Heraclius: A Hero of the Caucasus
Heraclius is more a figure for tragedy or some sort of dramatic play. His civil war that he waged to become emperor again was particularly destructive. In part because he lost all of it to the Arab subsequently. And also, I'm not entirely sure that the knockout victory against the Persian Empire was entirely his doing. He essentially has to his name as one impressive virtuoso campaign in the Caucasus that accomplished very little and then a sudden knockout blow with an ally.
