The Economist Writing About a Booming Saskatchewan Economy?
Saskatchewan is a commodity-based economy, and so we go with the commodity cycle. It's been probably about six to eight years since the economy has been booming out here. In 2013, things were really hot out here. We were growing really quite rapidly. But 2014 happened. Saudi Arabia radically increased production. Oil prices fell off the cliff,. Things slowed down out here. So this isn't new in terms of commodity cycles that we're hot right now. It's a commodity cycle. I mean, that’s what happens out here.
