Plato's Republic Is Inevitably Utopian, Right?
Nietzsche's main criticism for the political philosophy of Plato and Socrates is, as we've said, that it's a condemnation of nature. The measure of the value of existence becomes based on an approximation to this super sensible world. And so from the Nietzschean stance, Plato's Republic is inevitably utopian in all the derogatory senses of that word. It's a political philosophy which is untenable for numerous reasons.
