Chris Hill: I started to see the magic word that I look for, which is that a sector is considered to be uninvestable. He says regional banks are drivers of economic activity in whatever region they're in and fundamentally important. Hill: When you're going to tell me that a bank has made as many mistakes as First Republic made, that that is going to tar the entire sector.

For the first time in a while, Facebook's parent company gave shareholders reason to smile.
