How to Create a Wellness Recovery Action Plan
There are daily actions we can take even when we're feeling okay to help nourish and center ourselves. And there are triggers or early warning signs that we need to learn, recognize, and manage if we want to give ourselves a fighting chance against illness. The wellness recovery action plan was originally developed by Mary Ellen Copeland and a group of mental health service users who wanted to work on their own recovery. It's designed as both a tool to learn about yourself, what helps, what doesn't, and as a guide for others to help you, especially in times of crisis.
