How Long Is a Roman Hour?

Time literally stretches and shrinks in the ancient world. The romans would bisect their day into two sets of 12 hours. Astronomer ibnal shati became most famous for a sundial that was probably the most sophisticated ever made. And it measured what were called equal hours, where the whole day and night period was divided equally.
