Is the YouTube Algorithm Responsible for Reactionary Politics?

Is it something about the structure of the internet that incentivizes reactionary politics? Or does the internet just give people with reactionary politics plenty of space to find each other? Ye, that's a good question. I don't have a definitive answer. But yes, there's the dynamic i just described where people who have kind of beliefs that are sort of considered more marginal a will form a pseudo community on line. And because it's kind of an attention economy, that extreme and controversial viewpoints can generate a lot of attention. It generates attention, att you know, this is kind of this ishow ho trump got big,. like, the snow balling of it, of negative attention.
