The Role of Families in Getting Students to College
A lot of the students you interviewed also spoke about college prep programs that they attended and various kinds, including, for example, visiting a campus. What role did you find that these sort of actors that are not the student out what role do they play in shaping where students think it's possible or relevant to them to apply? And how does this differ across social class? Yeah,. so I'll start with the high school just because high school is relevant for both groups of students. You see teachers and counselors, but also their peers. Their peers are applying to college where alumni have applied to college, where universities and college are recruiting.
