What Is the Purpose of Art?

i think that it all depends on your definition of what the purpose of art is. It determines if there's too much or not, i am going to give a polarity. My teacher told me that illustration is timely, fine. Art is time less. I wanted to be an illustrator. So my response was, but it can be, it can be illustration and be, i mean,. it can be timeless and timely, right? And i would at least say this, that the art that is time timely. Howd how could we ever do anything really good?
