The Rise of Queer Politics in Colorado
I think these candidates are taking a lot more seriously than they used to be. Even just in the election, like it's not a big deal anymore. And I'm glad that Leslie Herr had made this genuine connection with somebody who probably didn't have a lot of the same views as she did but still wanted to continue to connect with that person. It goes back to that personal connection. You have to get to know a queer person on a personal, interpersonal level in order to try to understand them. But for me, it's just like exactly what we were talking about before. We're getting more and more interested in politics because they see themselves being represented.
