W.E.B. Du Bois: The Souls of Black Folk

Du Bois was ardently a German-style nationalist, and his main tutors were ardent German nationalists. W.E.B. Du Bois got accused of anti-Semitism, but he said he just didn't care. He had this idea that he brought back, what is it that he said the Souls plural of Black Folk, one nation? Two souls, one people. That's called double consciousness. And it derives directly from Hegel's master's slave dialectic.
