The Differences Between Men and Women's Physiology

Beyond periods and menstrual cycles what are some of the other major differences between men and women's physiology that coaches should be aware of. Learning how to rerun and running mechanics is really super important because center gravity changes in girls grows a lot faster but not yet quite as dense so you'll see people who don't know how to run very well when they start going through puberty. In acute recovery phase it takes about 45 minutes for women to come back down to baseline but men have between 3 and 18 hours according to research. Women need more leucine circulating in the brain than men, which helps with muscle protein synthesis.
