The Importance of Local Capital

Localism is parochial, racist and exclusionary. What we actually need is a system that tilts the playing field back to local capital. The best investments in struggling neighborhoods are not going to come from charity or for handouts. There's some people doing great work on this but there's nobody today sticking up for them.
