Ada's attempts to contact the c v a were met with more of the same. Eventually she had to give up and get ready for work. She would just have to try again to morrow. Wednesday came and went with no call from the power company. By the next day there were even more pumpkins, and her attempts to contact them were met with less success. It was late t Tuesday afternoon before ada was finally able to get through to somebody who seemed unable to grasp the true scope of the problem.
