How Long Did It Take to Build the Pentagon?
I can't tell you how many people in the Obama administration swore up and down the road, these jobs were ready to go. I would have a lot more sympathy for some of this kind of spending is things were actually shovel ready. But like the same people who talk about shovel ready jobs are the people who just drench everything in bureaucratic red tape and regulations that make it very difficult to start any project. It took one year and 45 days to build the Empire State Building. The big dig in Boston was completed in 2007.
