The Problem With Placebo Surgery
The sort of evidence based medicine stuff comes into conflict with necessary medical ethics. And you have to, you have to pick a side. It's not always clear how things should be done. I came up with this idea of micro dosing, which I thought was an interesting idea a few years ago. But that never really got off the ground because it's not necessarily stupid because I haven't finished the idea yet. At this point in our interview Dennis interrupted us and said: 'I'm going to blame you for interrupting me' He then went on to explain why he thinks people are more likely to seek treatment if they know there is no placebo effect at all.
