The Swiss Central Bank Is Doing That to the Max
There is a revolving door between central banks and commercial banks. Is the central bank the patron of the banking system? Does it identify with the banks too much? Maybe. But there's a big difference between the crisis of financial crisis of 2008 and 2009. UBS is fine, and other banks are fine. So to change the rules just for one bank, that's a very odd move.
For currency-issuing governments, taxes for revenue are obsolete, so what *are* they for? Patricia & Christian talk to economist and author Dr Dirk Ehnts about the role of taxation in modern money systems, banking regulation, inflation, new eurozone fiscal rule proposals, and more.
