Newman became convinced that the anglican church at the time was an ana of arianism, historically. He retreated to a little town outside of oxford called littlemoor and formed a kind of religious group there,. Although it was mixed with nn women who are there, kept separate. And he worked away at this essay. Even before he was finished, he was convinced that he should convert an kind of lost zeal to write ha thing. Thut you can see in the final chapters, he doesn't have quite the same passion. I made a pilgrimage once, too little more before newman was a blessed or saint.
