The Drive of Desire

The cause of desire is the experience of lack. Desire moves quickly away from its cause. It doesn't want to deal with lack. Yet that is precisely what desire always winds up with. You might even say the telos of desire is more desire. And by extension, a kind of blinded relationship to the lack that causes it.
