Technical Immersivity Is So Red Herring, Right?

The idea that we aren't escaping from the world when we read a novel, the movie is pathetically misguided. The idea that somehow just a VR Google set is like some breakthrough or some horrible new nadir of escapism is obviously wrong. We do holiday isolating things. And it's making sense. So technical immersivity is so red herring, right?
