A Tale of a Little Boy and a Horseman
Marius and his companions hide in a nearby forest. A prophecy an omen that appeared to him once when he was a little boy, living in the honest countryside near old arpinum. Plutarch points out here that eagles only lay two eggs at a time max. So the omen is clearly fabricated. But it's generally agreed that marius told these tales while he was on his escape flight.
