The 9-11 Rescue Workers Foundation
Officer Fred Parisi was one of the first responders at ground zero on September 11th, 2001. He ran into the south tower as it burned and dragged handicapped civilians to safety. The experience left him sickened, physically and emotionally, and he resigned from the force a few months later in November 2001. His foundation helps others who have fallen ill from being exposed to toxic elements at ground zero.
