Is the New York Times the Paper of Record?

I think, as you say, like the New York Times, I forget the exact phrase you used in the book, but when the spotlight shines the brightest, like the shadows you cast are the longest. And if they claim to be the paper of record, that's more important that they get it right than anybody else. They should be held to a higher standard. So yes, I think 100%. There are many, many heroes in media and there are also heroic news organizations.
