I hate the idea of diluting myself. I think a class of strategies that can be really helpful is reframing strategies as opposed to self-delusion strategies. This topic resonates with me a lot, just on a personal level. It kind of astonished me to learn that many people weren't really making that distinction between honest versus self-deceptive coping strategies. And it was clear to me that they weren't even really tracking the difference between those two things. They're very importantly different.
