The Importance of Timing in Movies

Altman's use of compressed time in "Chippies" was amazing, he says. He can write character and dialogue the way that Peckinpaw or Altman have done. His movies are about interaction of people with each other always, not plot driven,. There's a plot and he'll get to it, but he's not in such a hurry.
