The Importance of Voice in Writing

I feel like voices really like the bricks and mortar of your writing. You know, all of these worlds that are so intense are conjured by the way that one or several voices present it to us. And I mean, how important is voice to you? And do you think you would ever not write in the first person? So interesting. It's so different experience to be writing something where you're the observer and not the person going through it.
